Followed your guide on how to install Mac OS X on to a PC. This week bought everything you post listed and followed your guide exactly, but computer won't boot to OS X. Just shows grey background screen with Apple logo and then computer restarts. Could you offer any advise?

There is NO "Generic X86 PC" option! You can only choose between "EFI (Default)" or "MBR"!!!

Tried all of those things, in fact both the client and myself have reported the error numerous times. We have waited two months and still the marker is in the wrong place. It is costing the client money, maybe he should sue Google for damages, then they might answer.

Well, that is definitely very frustrating for the client.I will add this question to our toughest questions roundup. Maybe there is one more idea out there. Unfortunately, that's all I can do for you here.

---Boot into windows 7---Open the browser and head to http://neosmart.net/---Look for the latest version of EasyBCD and download it. Current version is EasyBCD 2.0.2. You can http://neosmart.net/dl.php?id=1.---Install and run EasyBCD on your computer.---From the main screen of EasyBCD select the “Add/Remove Entries” option on the left side.---Select “Mac” tab.---Select “Generic X86 PC” from the drop down menu. Try the other options if it doesn’t work but that’s a very rare case.----You are all done. Reboot your PC and you can now see the boot menu showing Windows 7 as well as Mac OS X. Select any of them and bingo!try TBOOThttp://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=108831what it does is basically create a new entry of boot option in your Windows Boot Manager,During the initial Disk load press F8 for optional parameter. Some of the parameter you can use are –v, –F, –X, cpus=1 etc

At the first boot of OSx86 you should be using the parameters -f -v .How to enter these parameters depends on the Boot loader you installed but in general there should be a notice in the screen to press Key within xx seconds to change boot options. Also keep in mind that the first boot of such an installation can take several minutes up to half and hour. If the parameter don't help I can only assume that your installation doesn't work for your Hardware e.g. wrong Kernel Extensions, compatibility Patches, etc...As always, I suggest to look for help at more dedicated sources:http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Pagehttp://www.insanelymac.com/
