I am trying to clone my G3 B & W hard drive onto a USB thumb drive. Drag and Drop doesn't do it, even when booted from install disk.

Use SuperDuper from www.shirt-pocket.com. It's a great disc-cloning application for the Mac, very easy to use and works well.

Daniel,FYI, the SupeDuper costs $27.95. On the other hand the CloneZilla is free but not as easy to use.

The basic version of SuperDuper is free. I quote from the site: "Buy now to unlock scheduling, Smart Update (which saves a lot of time), Sandboxes, scripting and more!".

You can use clonezilla to clone most operating systems including unix based macintosh drives. I wrote a tutorial a while back that can be found here > http://trifutec.com/Articles.aspxEmail me if you have any questions > ben (at) trifutec.com
