I have a powerful system - Core i7 920, 4 GB RAM and ATI Radeon 4870 x 2, 1 GB. Recently, while playing the gameplay is a little choppy as the response to mouse movement is stuck. It appears to be system problem since problem occurs with two mice.
I feel offended that system should be slow with such powerful configuration.
Can anyone suggest what might have caused it? It did not exist two weeks back.

Thanks for your replies guys.I do not know how to increase polling rate. Will be searching internet. There is no setting on the mouse itself, it being a basic one. But if possible through windows, I will try to find out.

I agree with FIDELIS.- update your video card drivershttp://support.amd.com/us/psearch/Pages/psearch.aspx- update DirectXhttp://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=8109You may also want to update your mouse drivers. If the driver allows it try increasing the USB polling rate to 500Hz or 1000Hz.Check the known issues list for the game (sometimes
mouse ghosting
can be caused by a specific video setting) and the not-so-welcome reinstallation of the game.

Hello, Radeon video cards have been know to cause this when gaming. Make sure your video drivers are up to date. Also, what kind of mouse do you use? Is it usb/ps2? Is it a specialized mouse?
