I'm looking for a bag that works both for school (laptop, books etc) and just everyday going out. I found these bags and I want them all!! But that's not practical, obviously, so I need help choosing one or two please! :) Thanks!

I would also agree on using a Victorinox because of its durability

It is difficult a recommend a bag to someone. I mean what is right for me wont be right for you. The best advice I could give you is to go down to your local computer store and check out the different variants, that way you know what feels right for your needs rather than people telling you that this bag is a better colour than that bag etc.

i would recommend # 1 and # 3

Number 1 looks bigger making it more likely to fit a laptop.

Nice bags! And good prices, too! I would want to know the size of the laptop you're carrying before giving any advice. Also, you can store pretty much any laptop in a purse provided there's enough room and you use a neoprene cover on your laptop.Anyway, I'm not sure if those bags will fit a full sized laptop though as they also don't appear to have sufficient depth or a special compartment for the laptop, unless you're using a small form factor design, like a netbook or tablet. They're more like purses. If they did have the sufficient depth, you would most likely want a neoprene carrying case to protect against scratches. Those are cheap at around $10, though, so that's not a big consideration.Fatwallet had some great laptop-totebag-purse designs listed, from Overstock.com. My favorite (err, from a purely aesthetic point of view) was the
Nunzia Tuscany designer bag
, but it's a bit too expensive. The
white version
was cheaper at $86.50.And then there
were the purses for smaller devices
, such as iPads.There's a
decent, all-business black leather satchel
, but it might be too dull looking.By the way, I saw a great article on the kinds of things you should carry in your bag.
Check it out sometime
.

Hi SuzyI use a Victorinox back pack (Swiss Army Knife people) - it's really strong and safe for my 17" MBP so will be good for just about any laptop. I carry music books around with me and it copes really well with weighty objects. The straps are still in perfect condition after 2 years. There's also room for pens, pencils, charge cable etc. Admittedly they are not as stylish as the ones you are looking at, but it is extremely durable and practical.
