The wp8.1 upgrade for call history enabled direct dialing by touch of any contact in call history. How to disable this?

Well,this is a feature.If you don't want it,then either uninstall the update(not recommended) or see what's new related to call features below -

I don't have WP and I searched for your issue but couldn't find anyone who considers this as annoying.May be you can fiddle out with call settings and can find some solutions.
