Can you recommend screen-capture tool for creating video tutorial? With option to audio and screen activity as video, for Windows 7 OS and Chrome 27 browser for CQ42 Presario laptop.

We use a simple program called SMRecorder. It records both video and audio on screen. It can also record your webcam or your microphone, or both. There's a good description of how it works here: http://download.cnet.com/SMRecorder/3000-13633_4-75332290.html Also, should mention that it works smoothly even on our budget-price laptop which has a basic dual-core processor (2.0GHz) and only 3GB of memory. So, it should work well on any capable PC or laptop!

Jing is a very good application for recording video. http://www.techsmith.com/tutorial-jing.htmlOne thing about most screen recording software is that the end result is a file with some size. One lesser-known alternative to the big names is Screen2exe. This application can create screen recordings with audio and the end result is an exe file that is relatively small.http://www.screen-record.com/screen2exe.htm

Facebook supports are large list of video formats. The video formats allowed on Facebook are 3g2 (Mobile Video) 3gp (Mobile Video) 3gpp (Mobile Video) asf (Windows Media Video) avi (AVI Video) dat (MPEG Video) divx (DIVX Video) dv (DV Video) f4v (Flash Video) flv (Flash Video) m2ts (M2TS Video) m4v (MPEG-4 Video) mkv (Matroska Format) mod (MOD Video) mov (QuickTime Movie) mp4 (MPEG-4 Video) mpe (MPEG Video) mpeg (MPEG Video) mpeg4 (MPEG-4 Video) mpg (MPEG Video) mts (AVCHD Video) nsv (Nullsoft Video) ogm (Ogg Media Format) ogv (Ogg Video Format) qt (QuickTime Movie) tod (TOD Video) ts (MPEG Transport Stream) vob (DVD Video) wmv (Windows Media Video)Screen2Exe is a great application but the files being exe format will not allow for uploading/sharing on many sites. If uploading to Facebook is a requirement, I would recommend going with a different recorder, such as Jing or CamStudio.

Yess Camtasia Recorder is the best one that i know, for other similar programs like camtasia (a freeware), go to check this link : http://www.techbuzz.in/16-free-screen-capturing-software-alternative-for-camtasia.php

Camtasia is the best software I ever tested. But you should try SnagIt, Camtasia's little brother. Or FastStone Capture - it only costs $19.95 (lifetime license).

Use Camstudio i have personally used it easy to use and a portable version is available at http://www.makeuseof.com/pages/best-portable-apps

I installed Camstudio on Windows 7 but it asks for file named like mvc100.dll to run

As Erez says, Camtasia is the bees knees, but Jing (also from Techsminth) is an excellent alternative. It is free, and while editing is limited (or in fact non-existent for video material), you can do the editing in a separate package.

The gold standard is Camtasia: http://www.techsmith.com/camtasia.htmlIt does cost money, though (but it's well worth it).
