I am looking for an app to install on my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 to so substitute the need to carry my Garmin GPS. I travel a lot and cannot always relay on data.
What would be the most reliable app you have come across as far as GPS goes? I live in Mission, BC, I am in Las Vegas and using the trial of Sygic. I would love to hear whether it works in my hometown or hear some alternatives that do!
Thanks.

You should try Sygic. it is very good. it offers a 14-day trial if you want to check.

I don't have a suggestion for a live GPS app that does not require data, but those suggested works well. I like Waze, but would love to know a standalone app that does not require the use of data, also. Do realize that it may require 2+GB storage space to hold the maps, waypoints, and other info.
