Can virtual router software work with a desktop Windows XP PC?
I have known them to work with Windows 7 laptops but I'm unsure whether they can work with desktop PCs. Are there specific hardware and software requirements for them to work? Such as, is a WiFi adapter required?

The documentation page of Virtual router says that - one needs to have a WiFi device with its driver which supports Windows Virtual Wifi and Wireless Hosted Network features. Also, have a look at the list of
supported devices.
