I currently have 4 drives from C: to F:. I want to create another drive which will take some free space from D: drive. How can I do this?

There used to be an excellent software called Partition Magic. However, I am not sure whether they kept up the good stuff after Norton bought them.

The easiest free software I used to make a partition on my 70 GB hard drive is EaseUS partition hardware. It will create a partition by shrinking the drive you want to make smaller. You choose the sizes!Mary

You can do this by using any hard disk partition management based software. If you don't want to do using any software you can try using Windows Installation disk. As in windows 7 when you it asks to select the partition to install windows, u can delete the D drive, and then create new partitions from it choosing the desired size.
