How can I restore corrupt backup files?

I am having a backup (.bkf) file which was created with Symantec BE 2012. The file contains backup copies of SQL Server databases (MDF). Due to corruption, I cannot restore anything from the file. I need those copies of MDF databases urgently. Is there any way to restore these files?
