Hi,
I have a slim WD MyPassport 2TB USB 3.0 hard drive. I had it for like 2 months when all of a sudden I connected it to my laptop, and it doesn't work anymore. The drive lights up and spins as usual. When I first connect it, it will take 2 minutes to show up in my computer but I cannot access it, run checkdisk on it, do right-click on it, open disk management, and no recovery software can see it. Any of those actions will freeze and go into an infinite cycle.
Any help how i might pull data from it?

I had a similar experience a couple of weeks ago. I managed to recover the data on the disk by following the instructions from here - http://www.wikihow.com/Fix-a-Cyclic-Redundancy-Check-ErrorNot sure if it is the same problem as you had but it worked for me and the drive now works fine! Good luck.
