Any recommendations on a reliable remote FTP backup service for about $10 per month?  The service will be used to host static images from a security camera which the camera software is to automatically FTP images to the service.  I am looking for something for 50Gb and less at this stage.  Web Hosting companies often disapprove storing files for non-website based services.

FTP is not free with Box. You need their business account that costs $15/month.I found a good service ADrive.com which provides FTP for $25 per year and 100Gb storage. However, it would be good if I could get those images via HTTP so I could do something with them.

Well, the problem is that most inexpensive cloud/backup storages are intended for personal use. So there either is no FTP access or the http access is limited in some sort (not available, only via their own site, ...)One service that sort if is able to do both would be Hosted FTPhttps://hostedftp.com/However, they only offer HTTPS and if you are planning on embedding things on another site this will cause all kinds of issues. You could look into webhosts in eastern Europe or Asia - a lot of them are friendly towards file hosting as they don't have to face legal issues. But connection to them might not be the best.In my opinion either contact some local webhosts explain your situation and see if they are happy with whatever you want to do or invest the money in a VPS and setup your own FTP and webserver. I don't know if you can get a VPS for as little as $10/month but at least your only limit is storage and maybe monthly bandwidth.

They are IP camera's that have the ability to enter FTP details to backup files. So I am looking for a hosting provider that provides FTP login details. Few web hosts forbid the storage of files not being served on a website.Rackspace.com.au Cloud Files looking good.

Ok, well~ I would give box.com with their FTP server app a try. Because if it is working you may got off without any costs. Box regularily offers 50GB promotions which you can find here:https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/sections/200141848-Box-Promotions

If you are using a software to capture the camera feed I would assume this whole thing is running via a computer. So basically any online/cloud storage should do as you can save the images locally in a folder and then use the services software or some third-party tool to upload them.box.com offers an FTP app to use FTP for uploadhttps://app.box.com/services/browse/search/box_ftp_serverGiven my first assumption any other cloud storage or storage service should do (Backblaze, Spideroak, Crashplan, ...) too.
