How can I export Mac Thunderbird mailbox data to Outlook 2010 in windows system?

I have 15,000+ emails in Thunderbird and it's an Imap account. The problem is that when I login in outlook 2010 it is taking too long to synchronize the emails and sometimes I receive the message that sync failed. Please suggest to me some other way so that I can export all the data from Thunderbird on the Mac to Outlook 2010 on the PC in a quick manner.

Helpful answers will be really appreciated.

Export mail into Outlook (Express) or Apple Mailhttp://kb.mozillazine.org/Export_mail_into_Outlook_%28Express%29_or_Apple_Mail

Other than IMAP, the easiest way to do this is with a third party tool. Once such tool is Aid4Mail (http://www.aid4mail.com/export-thunderbird-to-outlook.php) and another is Emailchemy (http://www.weirdkid.com/products/emailchemy/). I've not used the first one, but it was recommended by Microsoft staff so it's probably good. I have used Emailchemy (for other conversions) and can vouch for it - it's a very fine product. Neither of them is free. You can also use MBOX to PST converters but the ones mentioned above simplify the process.
