I have a Sony Xperia Tipo and I am wondering if I can share my PC's Internet with my Android phone without rooting?

I would like to use USB, not Wi-Fi - is there any app that will allow me to do this on Google Play?

I dont think its possible via USB. Even if its possible thru some software i wud suggest you not to play around with those apps. Because I was trying to do the same few days back, I have a broadband connection and wanted to set up my HP laptop as wifi router thru inbuilt win 7 feature thru adhoc connection. But the HP guys told me its not possible using broadband connection and that i will need WLAN connection. So I tried Connectify, Hotspot, Wifi virtual and each and every app i got in google search. But each and every app didnt work. Instead the apps fiddled with my firewall and since then i notice my laptop misbehaves a little sometimes. So my suggestion is do not try any such apps. If at all you want to share your laptops internet i wud suggest you to buy a wifi router which costs some INR 1000 here.
