I have a font zoomer app on my Nokia C7 and I want to use custom fonts. I have tried some that were great, but I found a problem - most only support English. Anything written in Arabic is messed up. Now the font Ariel does support Arabic, but I don't want to use that for English. Is there away to merge two fonts, Ariel and another, so that Ariel is used for Arabic and the other font is used for English? I tried Font Forge but it didn't work.

creating a new font is not easy!•Load up the fonts which aren't falling into the same group with FontForge (•Element > Font Info:)perhaps to give the same name for the two fonts like EnglArab, then file-Generate FontMerge Fonts... http://fontforge.org/elementmenu.html#Mergehow to combine asian font and western font as one combined fonthttp://superuser.com/questions/453480/how-to-combine-asian-font-and-western-font-as-one-combined-fontread the last answer fontlabhttp://forum.fontlab.com/index.php?topic=8691.0use Paste Special and select the option to ignore destination selection, map glyphs by name. This allows you to import a large number of glyphs from another font in non-matching order without overwriting Unicode values in the destination font.

take your phone to Nokia Care Point and ask them to install a language pack that includes Arabic language. Your phone was not for arabic countries so perhaps they will ask you to pay and not covered with warranty. Be aware updating the firmware will probably make the phone revert to its original language set, you will lose Arabic language and you will have to re-install the font.

Not possible. You'd better find another font that you will like in both English and Arabic.

Why not use a phone with native support for both languages? It is a known fact that using custom fonts, will mess up your phone. Not immediately, but in the near future, you will have to do a factory restore. My advice is to switch to a phone with native support for both languages, as well as the ability to use large on screen fonts. many 2nd tier phone makers have an android based accessibility enabled device or something along these lines.
