Help guys, my Acer Inspire E1-522 with Windows 8 wont start properly!

So basically, I got an error 1406 and in order to overcome the error I tried to clean-boot my laptop. Upon booting it, the laptop manages to start up till the login screen. Once I enter my password and login, the screen goes black but the mouse icon is still visible and moves along with the movements of the mouse. I have tried removing the battery and power cable and then starting the laptop but still the problem persists. I have even tried hard reseting the laptop, i.e. removing the battery and holding the power button for 30 seconds, yet no success. Please help me on this matter if you can. Thank you!

Have you tried booting the laptop in safemode? To do this when your system boots up and log on screen comes up.Choose to restart the system while holding down the Shift key. Once you log in using safe mode try and see if your user profile can be repaired or create a new user.

maybe to factory restore laptop (all files will be deleted in this case), you can use some live cd to make backup of files like hirens bootcd. How to Open a Command Prompt at Boot in Windows 8http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/2755-command-prompt-boot-startup-windows-8-a.htmlonce you open command prompt type: sfc /scannow and wait the scan to finishHow Do I Fix a Black Screen after Booting Windows 8? http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/faq/id-1650840/fix-black-screen-booting-windows.html5 Ways to Boot into Safe Mode in Windows 8 & Windows 8.1http://www.7tutorials.com/5-ways-boot-safe-mode-windows-8-windows-81

Your problem is almost certainly a currupt profile. If there is another account you can log into, do so and create another account, then transfer your data into it. If you don't, wait for advice from someone with more Windows 8 experience than me...
