I want to buy an unlocked Android phone from Boston USA, to be used in India. I have seen that Amazon and eBay do sell unlocked phones but I always found 2-3 comments saying the phone was not new or was locked for a US sim. I am looking for an HTC M8 or a Sony Xperia Z2 or LG G3 which would cost around $400-$600.
Can anyone give me idea as to what I should go for online? Any particular seller to look for or retail shop to buy from? I hoping to get a better discount price around Thanksgiving Day or Christmas.
Kindly suggest.

Thanks for your answers. One of my friend is travelling back India from US, so I was thinking of telling him to buy for me. And if xperia z2 unlocked is $434 on amazon.com then certainly it is less costly as compared to its India price, around 36000INR.I was just not sure about whether it will give me any problem as using any Indian SIM in it.

I've heard from expert that unlocked phones of Sony costs more in US compared to India. You can get new and unlocked phones from
Expansys site in US.

The indian portals that you can try are www.flipkart.com , www.snapdeal.com or www.amazon.in .

Hello Rajaa,Consider Xperia Z2, price on flipkart at this time is 36,629 compared to amazon.com price $420. Which would be 25916.10INR as per current dollar rate. On what basis you are saying it is equivalent?

It will cost almost same in India in INR terms to US dollar equivalent. So better buy it in India itself.
