How to resolve frequent internet disconnection on Powerline based net access? Pages stop midway, but video streaming page, once opened, works continuously but surfing is interrupted.

Rather than changing DNS servers willy-nilly, download and install Namebench//code.google.com/p/namebench/ It hunts down the fastest DNS servers available for your computer to use.

If video streaming is working reliably, then your internet connection as such is fine, and in turn, your hardware (Powerline adapters, cables etc) are also fine. If you frequently have problems opening pages, but they do eventually open, then I can think of a few possible causes:1. Browser cache issue. Try clearing the cache and see if that makes a difference.2. Unreliable DNS. Try changing your DNS servers to OpenDNS (208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220) or Google Public DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4).3. Router problem. If the router misbehaves, the results can be very odd and unexpected, so restart your router first (I suppose this should have been no. 1 on the list!).4. It's also possible that it's something to do with your ISP, but that seems less likely given that streaming works well.
