I have a problem with my external (2TB) hard drive. I saved some school documents on my drive. When I got to the school computer to copy my home task, I copied & pasted, then I noticed all my folders went missing, except ones that were not in the folder. I still have my used memory, but can’t see my folders. Please help me!

I ran CMD and try to H:\>attrib -h -r -s /s /d i:*.* but got:

Access denied - I: \autorun.inf I:\Thumbs.db

What should I do? When I check the drive's properties it shows almost 7.gb data saved, despite me being unable to see any files!

Make sure you are running the command from an elevated command promptSearch for cmd in the start menuright-click "Run as administrator" on the cmd.exeI would also suggest to scan the external drive (as well as your system) with an up to date anti-virus. School computers allowing free access to USB connected devices are always vulnerable to get and spread infections ~ some which may very well hide your drives content.
