How do I get into my Facebook account and add you as my friend so that it will be easier to communicate. My server is blocked by untangle web filter and also I cannot access some of your site. Please help?

translating languages actually worked.. but it cant proceed to homepage of your account. only in log-in page.

Thanks Guys, I'm an I.T. Admin and have installed Untangle and was seeing what ways there are to get around it. Firslty, facebook.com in all languages is basically facebook.com so translating wont work. All proxies sites are blocked by the catagorie. If it has proxy on the page it will be blocked. Using a proxy still wont work as it has to pass through the filter. Everything is filtered going out and in. The IP address wont work because as soon as it resolves to facebook its well you guessed it Blocked.Good luck

There are certain filtering software that block websites the moment they catch certain pieces of texts showing up in the website text. In such cases, bypassing could be tough. Otherwise, as Jack says, try a proxy.

The easiest way to bypass webfilters or blockers is by using the opera mini virtual browser. It runs like a mobile browser, but connects all traffic to opera first, so that the only thing your isp sees is you connecting to opera, so you can connect to facebook and other blocked sites easily. Only downside is that since it is the mobile browser, you will be better off using m.facebook.com and other mobile versions of the sitehttp://www.opera.com/mobile/demo/Other methods are more complicated, but look into connecting through a proxy, using VPN (a great free vpn service is Itshidden.com). You can also try to connect to the website directly by going to it's IP address in your address bar rather than typing out the website's name (use ipconfg in cmd, ping the site and copy the ip address into your address bar). Google any of these options to get fully detailed explanations. Hope this helps

Using a mobile browser will not make a difference with Untangle. An Untangle web filter stands between your router and internal network, it still needs to pass through the filter and will thus be blocked.

The easiest way to do so is to use a proxy or Google translate. Go to http://www.proxytop.net/ and look for new proxy sites that have not been blocked yet. The Google translate method involves going to translate.google.com , typing in a URL in the field, choosing a different language than English in the 'Translate From:' box, and pressing enter. One other great option, is to download or copy over Ultra Surf (http://www.ultrareach.com/) to the computer and launch it.

Ask the administrator to allow you access to FaceBook, If they dont already, they can simply create another rack with less restrictions. then, if they have Directory Connector and Policy Manager setup they just simply add your user name to the rack, If not they can add your computers IP address. I've been searching for ways to get around untangle and have not had any luck.
