3. GasBuddy

GasBuddy is one of the most widely known apps that can help you find cheap gas to fuel up your car. You can even filter which type of gas you're looking for, something not a lot of other apps do. So if you're only looking for diesel fuel, only gas stations that provide diesel fuel will show up in your search.

When you're looking at the gas stations near you, you can see the price of gas, when the price was updated last, how far the station is from you, and reviews for that gas station. Because GasBuddy has a lot of daily users, the gas prices are typically updated every few hours.

Aside from finding you the cheapest gas around, GasBuddy can help you save money in other ways too. You can get a free GasBuddy card that'll help you save money at the pump. Plus, GasBuddy partners up with other retailers to give you cash back offers.

Plus, you can favorite gas stations near you that you like to go to frequently. By doing this, you can also see how much you typically pay for gas at your favorite gas station, compare it to others, and potentially choose a new favorite.

MapQuest is a navigation app similar to Waze or Google Maps, so you can use it as your primary way to get around town. Or, you could just use it for its great feature of comparing gas prices.

On top of its navigation and cheap gas seeking features, MapQuest can also help you find things to do, new places to eat, and hotels to stay while you're on the road. And if your car breaks down, you can use their on-demand roadside assistance. It's free to contact roadside assistance, but you'll have to pay for whatever services you need. Still, it's a great accessible feature to have.

6. iExit Interstate Exit Guide

The iExit app is specifically good for road trips or those who spend a lot of time on the highway. You won't be able to see any gas price information just anywhere. This app will specifically tell you what gas, food, hotels, etc. are available off of specific highway exits.

In order to see gas prices, you have to spend $1.99 in the app. Otherwise, you can just see which gas stations are available at each exit and how they far are from you, but you won't be able to compare gas prices.

If you're one to take road trips frequently, it would be worth spending the $1.99 for gas price access. If you're looking for a gas comparison app for everyday use, one of the above options would be better for you.
