I want to keep auto syncing for my music. However, is there a way to not copy all of the library into my iPhone, but keep auto sync?

There are various options to achieve this within iTunes:You can select to sync only "selected playlists, albums and genres" within the
Music
tab when you click on your iPhone. I myself for example have created a Playlist called "iPhone" which is the only
item
synced to my iPhone.http://cl.ly/1H3H1M2o2A453Y1G3s3JAnother option is to "Sync only checked songs and videos" on the
Summary
page within iTunes when you click on your iPhone.Once this is selected only checked songs are synchronized to your iPhone even when you have selected to sync the "Entire Music library".http://cl.ly/0s3e2U023B1Z2l1f1L3s

Hold down the 'Apple' & 'Option' keys.Plug in your iPhone.Release the keys once your iPod is mounted and has appeared in iTunes.http://www.methodshop.com/gadgets/ipodsupport/autosync/index.shtmluncheck songsNext to each song in iTunes is a little checkbox. When you turn on the “Only sync checked items” option, any song with a check next to it will be added to your iPod
