ASUS is back again with another flagship Android phone. The ASUS ZenPhone 7 and ZenPhone 7 Pro bring some rather innovative new features to the smartphone space, including a motorized camera setup that's quite different from your traditional smartphone.

ASUS announced the phone in a press release, and it looks to build upon the flipping cameras of the Zenfone 6 in a way that makes it stand out from the crowd.

ASUS ZenPhone 7 and ZenPhone 7 Pro Features

The main feature that makes the ASUS ZenPhone 7 and ZenPhone 7 Pro stand out is the motorized camera module.

The three camera sensors flip from the back of the phone to the front to allow for high-quality selfies without the need for a pinhole or notch. Not only that, but you can use the far more powerful lenses to take selfies, which should help you to get a lot more creative with your shots.

As far as the lenses on the ZenPhone 7, you'll get a 64-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 12-megapixel ultrawide snapper, and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens.

The flipping motor has been greatly improved over the ASUS ZenPhone 6. While the previous generation was rated for 100,000 flips, the ZenPhone 7 and 7 Pro can handle 200,000 flips. ASUS says it would take 100 flips a day for five years to wear it out, which sounds like more than enough for your average smartphone user.

Beyond the camera, the ASUS ZenPhone 7 has a 90Hz OLED panel, a giant 5,000mAh battery, and 30W fast charging.

The screen is fairly large on both models, coming in at 6.67 inches. However, while most phones are going for higher resolutions, the ZenPhone 7 and ZenPhone 7 Pro have 1080p displays.

Where the ZenPhone 7 and ZenPhone 7 Pro differ is mostly on the inside. The more affordable ZenPhone 7 has a Snapdragon 865 with 128GB of internal storage and 6GB or 8GB of RAM, depending on the configuration you choose. The ZenPhone 7 Pro has the extremely powerful Snapdragon 865 Plus processor under the hood, with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

ZenPhone 7 and ZenPhone 7 Pro Price and Availability

Unfortunately, ASUS doesn't appear to be bringing the devices to the US anytime soon.

Currently, it's available in Taiwan and it's coming to select European markets on September 1. ASUS didn't reveal a final price for those markets, though. In Taiwan, the ASUS ZenPhone 7 sells for NT$21,990 (around $749) and the ASUS ZenPhone 7 Pro goes for NT$27,990 (around $953).
