I don't see all my installed programs listed in the control panel "uninstall or change a program" in the programs and features section.

I only see some of them but not all, the ones that don't show up are still installed and running on my PC. Why can't I see them listed?

Can someone help me how to get them back on the listing?

Thanks.

how can anyone use this information when its writen in geek [cmd, sfc, reboot? you mean restart? why don't you just say so you make the same mistake as others who try and help, you speak in geek. anyone that speaks geek probably would'nt need this kind of help. but wanting to help is something special in and of itself. WE NEED A LOT MORE PEOPLE LIKE YOU, just not in geek. that could be said the same for ALL those fine people who take the time to volunteer their time and talent. well wishes, from someone who speaks in machinist, custom industrial engineering, and in electromechanics. just not geek! if i spoke in those other languages no one would know what the hell i was talking about either. It mostly depends on the software. The list of installed programs is fetched from the registry. If the installer created a name longer than 60 characters the "Uninstall a program" option won't be able to read it.http://support.microsoft.com/kb/247515Some programs may simply not create such a key and only put an uninstall option into the Start menu or maybe only via the uninstaller within the application folder. The latter one being what I suggest you to look for: Navigate into the folder where the software is installed in and look for a "uninstall.exe" or "remove.exe" or similar.Tools like CCleaner, Revo Uninstaller etc. might also prove helpful to get rid of certain software not listed in the Software control panel. You can find a selection of tools in the Best of Windows software section.https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/best-windows-software/
