In Danger? No Phone Signal? Using Morse Code with Your Smartphone [Android]

Getting lost in the forest is a scary feeling. Yes, I speak from experience. When I was about twelve years old, my dad and I got turned around in the forest behind our house, just after twilight set in. We ended up about 150 yards from the ATV we'd driven into the woods with, as well as the trail that would lead us home. We made it home that night, but ever since then I never forgot the feeling of realizing that I was lost.

Spot Airplanes In The Sky With These Websites & Google Earth Mashups

When you think about it, there’s nothing more exciting the airplanes and flight. To remind you how truly amazing it is, and give you a bird’s eye view of this immense industry, there’s nothing better than flight trackers.

When Reality Is Too Dull: A Look At Alternate Reality Games

Alternate Reality Games are a curious subculture that attempts to bring the concepts of gaming into the real world. Does this mean running around an industrial complex with water pistols? Not quite. How To Take Advantage Of Your Widescreen Apple Display [Mac OSX]

I didn't realize until I unpacked my 27" iMac just how much screen real estate I had to work with. Sure, it looked large in the store, but opening numerous applications and windows on it, stretching out the Dock with more apps, and slightly tilting my head up to look at the menu bar made me realize even more just how much space I have to work with.
