Pocket Planes: A Pixel Perfect Airline Management Sim From The Creators Of Tiny Tower

After spending the last 48 hours passing through various airports, sleeping very little and being crammed into economy airplane seating I don't think I'll ever consider a career in commercial aviation. Jet lag aside, there are only so many impatient travellers and take-off procedures I can stomach in one week. I'd rather pretend with the aid of my iPhone and Pocket Planes, another of those oh-so-popular micro-management games.

Better Than The Default: 5 Fantastic Dropbox Apps [Android]

I'm a huge fan of Dropbox. I have been using it extensively for team collaborations, to transfer files between platforms, and for backup purposes. Dropbox' key to success is its ease of use, which is firmly rooted in its nearly flawless integration across different platforms. The native Dropbox Android app is great for basic access to files and downloading, but it is lacking some features essential for power users.

How To Set Up a Paypal Account To Pay For Anything

I have to admit that Paypal has become my own vehicle of choice for conducting business online. It has become the most common vehicle that clients prefer for sending in payments for work. This makes Paypal the vehicle of choice for running an online business and it has been for a very long time. However, what you may not realize is how much Paypal has grown, and how many new options are now available these days for paying for things with your Paypal account.

5 Unofficial Ways To Watch Twitter Vine Videos

Video sharing is not a new phenomenon, with YouTube having been with us since 2005, amazingly. There are also a host of alternatives to YouTube, but the Google-owned service must be considered the daddy of them all. However, there's a newcomer on the scene, one which is gaining a lot of attention thanks to both its ease of use and severe limit on the length of videos. I am, of course, talking about Vine, which you may well have heard of already.

Moves For iPhone - Activity Tracking Done Right [iOS]

Moves is a new iPhone app designed to track your activity - running, walking, and cycling - over the course of a full day. It's free, and requires no additional devices. The only requirement is that it remains running in the background. You can download Moves from the iTunes store. When the app is running (either in the background or foreground), it uses the accelerometer to measure steps taken during walking or running movements, and GPS to track routes.

Enjoy Podcasts, Music, Talk & Sport On Windows Phone With TuneIn Radio

Aware that I should probably listen to the occasional contemporary sound, I became a convert to the BBC's 6 Music channel, which plays an astounding mix of great tunes from the 1950's to the 2010's. Now able to get my fix of good music, it suddenly occurred to be one day when I was heading out that I would be unable to listen to this digital-only radio station in the street – without a suitable mobile app with which to do so.

35 Top Restaurant Apps [INFOGRAPHIC]

While dining in our favourite restaurant a couple of weeks back, my wife and I couldn't help but notice that a lot of the customers were on their mobile phones. The woman on the table next to us was on Yelp, leaving a review - moments after putting her fork down. She was having a rather loud conversation with her partner about what rating to give, all the time while the waiters - and the owner - looked on nervously.

Skype For Mac: Video Call All Your Friends, Apple-Style [Mac]

There are already a few articles on MakeUseOf about the features available for Mac's Skype such as its group video client, experience-enhancing tips, and even some shortcuts that you may not know about. However, we've never really talked about the app itself. Overall, Skype for Mac is an app that performs in a solid manner, and I have a feeling that I will end up using it time and time again.

How To Get Banned From Social Networks

The Web has opened up lines of communication that were previously closed for the vast majority of the world. Anyone with an Internet connection can now head online and talk to someone on the other side of the world using any one of a range of different services. Social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ are the obvious options. There is unfortunately a tendency to abuse these new lines of communication.

Auto-Share Facebook & Instagram Photos With People Without Accounts

Sharing photos online has become an integral part of our lives, but what about our loved ones who don’t have a Facebook account, or Instagram? While sharing digital photos with the world is easier than ever before, each network is still limited to those who actually take part in it. If you’re not lazy, this is not a real problem: you just post your photos on several social networks, upload them to Dropbox, or email them directly when necessary.
