ochDownloader - A Small & Simple Downloader Manager

The average Internet user will probably handle nearly everything they download online through their web browser. Some browsers do it right - Opera's built-in download management is the best in the field. Others, not so much. Firefox, despite being one of my favorite browsers otherwise, is very weak in this area. It shouldn't matter though, because (in my opinion) the best way to handle your downloads is by using a third-party manager.

How To Get The Most From Your Earphones

The quest for getting the most from your earphones begins well before you ever buy them. You might be swayed by the fact that such-and-such musician has their name on a certain pair of headphones, or that these particular earphones looks really cute, or dashing, or whatever. Those things just aren't important and won't enhance your music listening pleasure. This is all about the sounds and how they move you.

Waze: A Social GPS For Your Daily Commute [iOS]

Out of all the navigation apps that are currently on the market, Waze may very well have the best concept. The only catch is that it doesn't have a "big name" backing it (like Google or Apple Maps). Regardless, it's on our list of Best Apps For The iPhone, and there's a reason for that. The app blends elements from both crowdsourcing and mapping to create something truly useful.

Sick Of Your GPS App’s Data Connection Flaking Out? Try 3 Updated Offline Maps [Android]

Not long ago, Chris covered three of the best offline GPS apps available on Android. Since then, many other GPS apps released or received major updates. Do these newcomers compare favorably with those reviewed by Chris? To answer this question, I evaluate the apps based on four criteria - first, how effective is the app at helping users navigate offline? Second, what are its top features? Third, how data efficient is the app? Fourth, is the paid version worth purchasing?

Can You Recover Data Deleted From Your Cloud Drive?

We put our files in the cloud to make things easier – we can access them anywhere and it’s our cloud storage provider’s job to keep them safe, not ours. But it doesn’t matter how reliable a cloud storage service is if you delete a file from your cloud drive and want it back later. Luckily, there are several ways you can restore deleted data. None of these methods are completely foolproof.

How To Connect a Game Controller To Your Mac

I used to play most of my games on the computer. All of that changed when the next (that is, current) generation of consoles came out. For one, these devices had a considerable assortment of games and great graphics. Another consideration - perhaps most vital in putting me over the edge towards console gaming - was the price-quality. In terms of hardware, consoles function as an opposite of gaming PCs.

Schedule, Enhance & Analyze Your Pins With This Must-Have Pinterest Tool

Pinterest, the visual social network, was all the rage last year. In the span of just several months, almost everyone I know joined the network, and the pinning craze was at its height. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not implying that the Pinterest craze is over, but as with every big social network, it slowly sank stabilized as a place we go to for eye-candy, food photos, beautiful ideas, and other such things.

Build Your City In Triple Town - A Casual Game With Lots Of Strategic Depth [iOS]

Triple Town is sort of a city-building game with elements of tile-matching. The overarching puzzle to crack is how to build a large city quickly enough. The larger the city, the more points you pick up. Triple Town is available on multiple platforms and has been lauded in all. Including our Best iPhone Games page. But what’s the reason? Let’s find out.

Why You Should Upgrade To USB 3.0

It’s been quite a while since USB 3.0 has been included in motherboards, but now we've come to the point where most devices and computers come with the new and improved ports. We all know about the technical data of the new specification, but what does all of that gibberish translate into? What real reasons are there to use USB 3.0 or actively seek devices which offer the port?

Bitrix24 Android Application Review + HTC Butterfly Giveaway

Back in October last year, I wrote about an interesting web service called Bitrix24. Basically, it's a project management service and allows for teams to assign tasks, track progress and discussion, as well as providing a platform for interaction between employees -- in other words, a social intranet for companies. Today, almost every cloud service is accompanied by some sort of mobile platform; and Bitrix24 is no different. So in this review, we'll take a look at their free Android application which is available from Google Play. What's more, we'll also be giving away 25 Bitrix Startup licenses, and a HTC Butterfly!
