If you have too many Apple products and not enough charging ports to fit them all, Apple may just have the solution for you. The company has released the MagSafe Duo Charger that can wirelessly charge both an iPhone and another Qi-certified device simultaneously.

What Is the MagSafe Duo Charger?

We first saw the MagSafe Duo Charger during the iPhone launch earlier this year, but it didn't come with a release date at the time. For those looking forward to this piece of kit, you'll be pleased to hear it's now available to order.

The MagSafe Duo Charger has a unique design that allows you to wirelessly charge your iPhone alongside another Qi-certified product, such as an Apple Watch or some AirPods. Just put both devices on the pad and let them charge up.

The charger comes with small magnets embedded within it, which help align your devices to the charging pad and keeps them from sliding off for the whole duration. It can also fold up to save space if you only need one side of the charger or if you want to take it with you.

It sounds good, for sure; the question is, is it good enough to live up to its $129 price tag? It's worth noting that the charger does not come with its own power adapter, so you'll need to shell out another $20 or so to purchase an official Apple adapter.

Not only that, but early reviews suggest that there isn't a great deal more to the charger than what was covered above. While journalists seem to agree that the charger achieves what it was advertised to do, the terms "overpriced" and "expensive" appear in these early previews.

As such, it's really down to you if you think the MagSafe Duo Charger is worth the price tag. If you feel it's a worthy purchase, you can head on over to the Apple Accessories store and grab your very own with free one business day delivery.

Apple's New Two-in-One Solution

The MagSafe Duo Charger certainly looks the part, and it has some useful features that Apple fans will enjoy. The question is, will the public warm to its lofty cost?

If you're a little tight on cash, but you want to charge your Apple products wirelessly, never fear. There are plenty of third-party chargers on the market that come in at a lower price point than Apple's official product range.
