Apple Music Showcases Session Musicians and Songwriters

On Friday, Apple Music added a new section dedicated to the passionate souls on the back end of the music production process. Behind the Songs lets you watch how today's top songwriters, producers, and session musicians created all your favorite tracks.

You can learn about certain songwriters and producers through their dedicated playlists, or peruse the many Apple Music playlist series. At the time of writing, the Featured Playlists, Legendary Songwriters, and Lyrics to Live By subsections sit at the top of the hub.

The Apple Music vs. Spotify Feud Continues

Apple Music presenting something like Behind the Songs was only a matter of time. Surely it wants to keep competitive with Spotify, which launched its Songwriters Hub at the tail end of 2020.

Apple Music is available for individuals at $9.99/month or for families at $14.99/month. Alternatively, Apple Music is also a part of every Apple One tier (packages that also include Apple TV+, Arcade, and iCloud storage).
