Is there a app or method that will enable remote desktop (Mac to Windows) in OS X Lion?

There is a handy Chrome extension called
Chrome Remote Desktop (BETA)
that if both people have Chrome installed with the extension can have remote access to the other's computer. What's great is that it's cross platform and the only requirements are Chrome and the extension.

M/S remote desktop will not work in Lion so will try TeamViewer. Thanx a lot to all of you.

It's not a general problem. RDC works fine in all, 10.5.8 up to 10.8 preview.Anyway, TeamViewer should do the job

I use Remote Desktop Connection from Microsoft. It supports multiple instances and it's use of system resources is relatively low.

Agree with Bruce Epper ... I use Teamviewer connceting to all my clients and it work flawlessly and securely to all O/S's advertised plus it has a chat and VOiP component that allows you to have a real conversation as you work through issues or training ...

If you are on the same network you can use either
Remote Desktop Connection
from Microsoft or
CoRD
.If you want to control it via Internet it all depends on the setup. Both applications will work if you connect via VPN to the network or allow (respectively forward) the necessary RDP Ports on the firewall. If you want things to work from "anywhere" with minimal setup you probably want to use TeamViewer or something similar.

Probably the best remote desktop tool is TeamViewer. Works with Mac, Windows, Linux, Android and iOS. It also allows VPN, file transfer and multi-point meetings. It is free for non-commercial use and for the functionality provided, the licensing costs for commercial uses are very reasonable.
