Android may not be affected by Virus , but it is not totally safe from spamware, malware etc .. so it is better to be equipped with the right tool , http://www.android.com/market/#app=com.drweb . There are lot more you can search in android market.

Yes, There is antivirus software for your android, Antivirus Pro to be exact. The Unix-based OS is very susceptible to Malware infections, and Never assume a hacker/s will not target something - first rule in Security. Unix is very vulnerable to remote attacks, meaning someone could steal ANYTHING stored on the device while you are using it. Also watch for phony apps that could steal your data: http://www.f-secure.com/weblog/archives/00001852.html

Hi Kumar - one that comes to mind off the top of my head is VirusGuard, but before you install such an app:Remember that Android is a Linux-based operating system. Ask any Linux guru that you know if they install antivirus software on their systems. Typically, viruses will not target this OS - most are Windows viruses that won't have any effect on your mobile. So, the fact that you even purchased an Android device in the first place goes a long way toward protecting yourself from viruses - know what I mean?Personally - I wouldn't bother installing one.
