Why is Windows 7 slowing down?

Jay August 2, 2011

I am running Windows 7 and it seems to be progressively slowing down. I did a search on registry cleaners and optimizers, but the feeling is that it is best avoided because of potential for serious resulting problems.

Any advice on keeping the PC optimized?

maybe you have installed too many files in your C drive. Just tidy it up and move them to other drives.

Have ou installed recently softwares on your pc, that might cause your ptoblems?

    Check performance issues

    try refresh
pchttp://www.xp-smoker.com/refreshpc.htmlI doubt that will harm your pc,
RefreshPC is a utility to return select registry settings and all Windows services to their default state.

Also run soluto: see what the advisor will tell you

Also defrag your hard drives, first delete temp and old files.uninstall video card driver and reboot and let windows to reinstall a frsh one.

also run superantispyware and malwarebytes antimalware to clean infections, both have free versions.
