Will Google Fiber compete with local carriers?

Christine St Syr Griffin March 26, 2013

I am curious, has anyone heard of Google Fiber?

If so, will they be competing with local carriers like Comcast? Will it be just high speed internet or cable television also?

Thanks ever so much, Christine.

google is trying to take over the world, personally i believe that google fiber with its high speed internet and HDTV will easily sweep away the competition. they are also spreading their services fast, just got the news that it will be available in Austin Texas (source: http://bit.ly/16HQfHm ).
I just simply cant wait till they take their services abroad... We could surely use some good internet in our region :)

there will always be people who want the fastest connection possible. All the local ISPs will lose these people to Google fiber. At least, until they can provide the same speeds.

Google fiber does, in fact, have TV with it, if you want. Have you tried going here and looking around?

BTW, at this time, its only in KC, I believe. At least, what is what their site says.
