Why won’t pre-loaded YouTube videos play on my Android?

I recently started trying this PRELOAD feature on my youtube android app. I left my phone charging and with Wi-Fi ON and it preloaded a lot of my subscriptions videos. After a while, when I opened the app, many videos had a green arrow next to their thumbnail image showing that these are already preloaded. Now whenever I try to play a preloaded video, it gives an error “unable to play the video, touch to retry”…Rest of the videos (which are not preloaded) , play just fine after buffering. Which means I am totally unable to view preloaded videos at all. What is the problem and how to solve it?
