Why is my Tenda N3 WiFi router not working properly anymore?

Farhan Karim June 16, 2013

The problem started 3 days ago. When I connect Internet via Ethernet cable it works at the usual speed 2.1 mbps, but when I connect it via WiFi, it works very slow.

I have tried upgrading the firmware, factory reset, DNS flush, system restore to the day it was working fine. What’s the problem with it now?

WiFi interference seems like the most likely reason, so check for that with inSSIDer or Channel Analyser.

perhaps to change the channel for wifi?

Have you checked to see if someone is using your bandwidth either some one illegally or maybe someone on your network has a program running that is using the bandwidth (A Zombie program).

You could use inSSIDer to do what ha14 suggested :http://www.metageek.net/products/inssider/
