The Fn keys are probably linked to some manufacturer software, go to your manufacturers website to see if you can download a driver disc of something.

You are missing the drivers for your function keys. You can download it from the appropriate website or install it from the DVD that came with your laptop upon purchase (easier).

For operation of the function keys there are special programs. For owners of laptops Acer, for example, there is a program Launch Manager. I think that for other notebook models there are similar programs.
    Best regards!

you should give your laptop model since some do have specific drivers for example Asus offers ATK drivers

    press the F-lock key
    Is Numlock on?
check if you have a switch on the laptop (on both sides or behind) that locks Function keys

Fn keys are sometime linked to manufacturer program. You will have to install driver or software for your Pc to have them work again. Head on their website or make search on the internet for it.

If you used a Windows install DVD rather than OS install disk from laptop manufacturer, you have to download and install driver files for your particular laptop model and OS from the manufacturers support website.
