Why can’t I download applications in my Samsung Galaxy Y?

Anonymous December 3, 2013

I have a Samsung Galaxy Y cellphone. I am using a 4G SD card but it seems I can only download a limited number of applications. It is puzzling to me because the SD card is not even half full but every time I try to download, my phone says it does not have enough memory. How can I fix this?

Installed App (note: INSTALLED) data are save on phone not on memory card. Uninstall other appz to free some memory. Or try rooting ur fon.o

Apps by default gets installed in internal storage which your phone might be lacking the sufficient amount and hence you are getting such messages.

It happens because not all apps can be moved to SD card. And even, Samsung Galaxy Y doesn't have enough internal memory, only 190 MB. I also have only 3 apps on my Galaxy Y. If i download 1 more app then a message will come "Internal memory is nearly full." something like that.

    limited number of applications?

    1) Go to Settings
    2) Select Applications ->Manage Applications or Apps
    3) Select All or swipe to the right to get to ALL
    4) Tap Download Manager and tap Clear Data.
    5) Go back to All and select Google Play Store.
    6) Select Clear Data.
    7) shut down your phone and turn it back on.
    8) Open Google Play Store and see if you can download your applications.
