When I copy and paste GPEDIT.MSC into the Start > Search field, I get no items matching my search. Where is it?

Since it's not available on Home versions of Windows, you can manually modify many of the relevant switches with regedit and this guide: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms815238.aspx

You can usually find a reg hack for the versions of Windows that dont have GPEDIT, if you need help with something specific just tell us and we will do our best to help.

Hello, not all versions of windows 7/vista/xp have gpedit. You must have business/pro version an up for this to be there.

Group Policy Settings Reference for Windows and Windows Server

How to Enable “Group Policy Editor” (gpedit.msc) in Windows 7 Home Premium, Home Basic and Starter Editions?
