Why are Youtube videos not working?

Anonymous September 7, 2013

It’s been 2 days and still Youtube videos show error messages.

Youtube is still banned in Pakistan, it works perfectly with the HTTPS protocol, so I used Mozilla Firefox but it showed an error messege. And now it’s happening in Chrome too. Please help me out. I have tried everything listed here https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/3037019?p=player_error1&rd=1 and even tried other solutions found on internet, like reinstalling the browser, reinstalling shockwave flash etc. It’s said that it’s a bug in Firefox but they are not working in Chrome either, so please help me.

So are you in Pakistan, and trying to access these videos? Just for clarity, I'm not quite sure that's what you're saying in the OP.

If so, have you considered using a VPN like TunnelBear?

    VPN info: //www.makeuseof.com/tag/dns-is-just-a-proxy-use-a-vpn-to-access-region-blocked-video/

Also you can change DNS settings for similar effects: //www.makeuseof.com/tag/vpns-are-old-better-ways-to-access-region-blocked-video/

    Try the following:
    Adjust firewall settings
    Temporarily allow ads and pop-ups

If the videos aren't working check your flash player version. Try to update it and see if it works!
