I am planning to buy a laptop (in India) around 65000 INR. I have 2 models in mind:

  1. Samsung NP550P5C-S05IN: Intel Core i7 Processor 3630QM (2.4GHz, 6MB L3 Cache) with AMD Radeon HD 8850M 2GB GDDR5 and 1600 x 900 Resolution. Cost : 65000 INR
  2. Dell Inspiron 15: Intel® Core™ i7-4500U processor (4M Cache, up to 3.0 GHz) with NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M Graphics with 2GB gDDR3 and 1366 x 768 Resolution. Cost: 62000 INR

Most of the other features appear either similar or are the same. Please suggest which one should I go for mainly considering the processor or suggest some other better laptops in the price range.

I suggest you "Dell Inspiron 15" because someone near my home using this. She is quite happy with the quality of that and price range is not so high. But if you like to buy another company laptop, then here is the link which have top 10 brands of laptops listed!

Honestly, they're both very capable machines, and unless you're doing anything extremely taxing either will serve you well. So it really comes down to which brand you prefer, and, crucially, which you trust more.

My advice is to read as many reviews of both laptops and then go with your gut feeling.

    to compare the two processors
    Intel Core i7-3630QM vs i7-4500U
if energy is your goal then The Core i7-4500U is 67% more energy efficient.
Core i7-3630QM Comes with more CPU cores, so Can execute more threads at once
if you do photoshop, video editing...then 1600 x 900 Resolution is better

Performance-wise, the Samsung is better with both processing and graphics. The Radeon 8850m would perform on par with an Nvidia GT660m. Only issue is the power consumption, which may mean lower battery life and more heat. The Dell laptop would be more efficient, but at the cost of performance in both processing and graphics. The performance difference would not equate to much except during demanding programs. Both are great laptops, but I'd have to say the Samsung is better.
