When will the Jelly Bean operating system be available for Asus Transformer TF101?

I don’t want huge rumors coming true that this tablet in specific, is not going to upgrade.

If official version of Android Jelly Bean is not released for your device then you can try any Custom Rom, It will comes with extra features and look.

Don't worry, unless Asus really screws up on this, it's just a matter of waiting. What's holding up the update is that TF101 uses Tegra 2, which requires a separate port of JB from the later models (which all use the same chipset).

In comparison, the TF201/TF301/TF700 both use Tegra 3 (TF301/TF700 use identical internal components), so any firmware change is basically identical, so if they update one, all are updated.

Another positive factor is that CyanogenMod 10 (which is based upon JellyBean) already has nightly stable releases for the TF101 - and CM10 is an open-source project. That means any efforts to port JellyBean already have a model to operate from. Asus engineers can simply borrow code from CM10.

Also, the great thing about JB is that it uses the same device drivers as Ice Cream Sandwich, therefore it doesn't require any rewriting of drivers.

However, despite there being an apparently easy port, <Asus has been having trouble pushing out JB for both the TF700 and the TF201 - there have been stability issues. But that's only delaying the eventual release of JB on the TF101. The Asus team appears to be working on each project, one-at-a-time, with the TF101 having the lowest priority.

Anyway, if Asus's team took about three months from the release of JellyBean on the TF300T to the release of JB on the TF700, and they are still preoccupied with ironing out its bugs, it may take another three months (or longer) to bring TF101 JB.

I find it troubling, however, that it took 3 months, when fans took the JB ROM from TF300T and installed it without issue on the TF700. Meaning, they are identical hardware. The release should have been simultaneous.

I guess the fitting answer is "to be decided"?

There is no official date let alone a decision to bring this update for the TF101.
There is a rumor they are working on it but it could turn out to be false or canceled by ASUS.
