I agree that SlideShare is good but I have also found great things on http://issuu.com/

http://www.pptsearchengine.net/ and http://www.slideshare.net/ although the best search engine is google. Google has directives that allow you to refine searches. Type filetype:ppt and then your keywords and it'll return posts from different places which are in ppt format.
Yep, slideshare is good for publishing your slideshow and viewing others online.
Sounds like you may be wanting to adapt others slideshows (download others content and incorporate it into your own), at which point take the suggestion to find ppt file using Google Search parameter "filetype:ppt". Be mindful of copyright if doing this though.

Have you checked the Microsoft Office site for Powerpoint templates?
i think he is not asking about the template, but the powerpoint and the content
