Hi I want to buy a 8 GB Micro SDHC card for my brother’s Nokia 5233
I’ve got 2 choices

Which one should i go for and whether these are compatible with my phone?
Any other recommendations???
He’ll probably use it to watch some movies, videos while commuting to work :)
Although both cards seem to be viable options, I would recommend SanDisk since it is a more trusted brand than Transcend (even though both have 5 year warranties). Besides, it's only Rs.5 more.
Nokia 5233 supports 16GB Micro SDHC card.
You can buy any of the card in this link below. All are good products. Class 2 card will be a bit slow but class 4 is good.

For Class 4 Micro SDHC:

I would suggest you to go with Samsung's Micro SD class 6 cards.Although,it starts with 16 GB,but its warranty is 5 years and has good read write speed.

Review: SanDisk microSDHC 4GB Media Card

These are test results on 32GB micro SD cards on Android phones, but the performance on the class rating is what should be looked at: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=15269669#post15269669. Class 4 cards seems better for overall phone performance, but class 10 is better for taking photos, videos, and better for viewing videos and listening to music. Data transfers to and from the phone and computer would also be better with class 6 or higher sd cards. From most reviews, though, SanDisk brand cards are faster and more reliable than most other brands.
i'd go for sandisk
Since both are class 4 Cards, the speed is not that much different! I would recommend transcend since I have few flash drives and Micro SD cards and they perform very well!
these are class 4 card never buy them go and buy a class 10 card it cost you 100rs more but 2X the speed and also all things load faster
thanks for replying
are class 10 cards compatible with nokia 5233??? won't they pose any lag or slow down the phone??
I think that even if they accept the class 10 card, they wont be able to read/write at such speeds.
Go and get a 8GB class 10 card it is really best card for you i personally suggest you
