What is the best SEO software for beginners?

Steven Nesbitt January 19, 2013

I’m wanting to learn about SEO but I’m a complete novice. Could anyone recommend any good software out there that would help get me started and to learn the basics?

I’ve heard of SEO PowerSuite and iBusinessPromoter SEO. Would any of these two be useful?

Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me.

As an SEO beginner, you don't need any software. The basics can be learnt even from MakeUseOf, just search the archives.

Google Keyword Tool and some of the guides from the SEOMoz. Try to keep up with web based softwares, theyre more likely to beupdated.

There are open source ones, that you install on your website to run: http://www.seopanel.in/, http://apps.nahklick.de/seostats/ and http://www.seotoaster.com/. There appear to be dfemos instaled on the project servers that you can play around with too.

As a beginner, I wouldn't pay a lot of money.

In my opinion the best way to learn about SEO is through a book..
But you can check some of the best softwares here:
(which I think is a list of illustrations and examples.. but I think I'm gonna try it too.)
