    Here some, maybe, more effective options:
    1- the SDK (software development kit) that run on Windows: http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html and is capable to run in addition to develop Android applications;
    2 - Jar of beans an alternative to Bluestack: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1975675
    3 - here another good option: http://youwave.com/
    Let me knwow which of them make you create an instagram account :)

    The real issue is that the emulator is not capable to be fully compatible with all the applications available. It is impossible to simply create an instagram account, for example. The complete compatibility will be possible when the emulator will be capable to emulate till to the machine language code.

    Bluestacks is most commonly used for average users since it is a simple process to install and set up. Depending on what kind of processor your computer users, there may be a more optimized version of Bluestacks, such as done with AMD: http://www.amd.com/us/vision/shop/cool-apps/pages/androidapps.aspx. :AMD teamed up with Bluestacks in order to make the android emulator run more smoothly on x86 computer systems.
