Why my webcam on a MSI Wind U130 netbook Windows 7 PC does not work?

What are the troubleshooting steps required to fix this?

You can try the firmware and software installers that you can download from the MSI support website found here: http://www.msi.com/support/nb/U130.html#down-firmware for the necessary "NB Camera Firmware V0308" installer and http://www.msi.com/support/nb/U130.html#down-utility&Win7 32 for the "Easy Face" and "Simple Camera Application". I would also check to see if the rest of your drivers and software/utilities are up to date, and install any updates that are available. The one update that I would not recommend unless you know what you are doing or in need for the update is the BIOS. If anything goes wrong with the installation of the BIOS, the computer may be rendered completely unusable (much like hard-bricking a phone). The fix would be expensive since a professional would need to reflash the proper BIOS or replace the BIOS chipset.

maybe this problem related to the webcam driver, you should setup the driver.

check Fn + F6 if it will work?
check device manager if there is yellow sign near webcam driver
