Why does video recording not work on my Samsung Galaxy Note 8?

Alice November 23, 2014

I have taken many photos with the camera in my Samsung Galaxy Note 8. However, when I try to take videos, a message comes up saying the the video has stopped working. I’ve tried it many times, great photos but no videos.

How can I fix this? I really like the tablet and have lost some great video opportunities.
I appreciate any help you can give me.

Also, go into the tablet Settings, Apps (or Manage Apps, App Manager, or something similar), look for the Camera app and select it, then Clear Cache and Clear Data. You may have to restart the tablet and then go into the Camera app and change the settings to your liking. Also, check to see if there are any updates for your tablet. Go to Settings, About Device (or About Tablet), and select Software Update to check for over-the-air (OTA) updates. You could also download and install Samsung's Kies software, plug your tablet into the computer, open Kies, and check for updates. If there are any updates, install the update and see if it helps.

As a last resort, you may have to backup all of your important data, pictures, music, contacts, etc., using the Kies software, and then hard reset your device (return it to factory settings). You can use the Kies software to restore your backup to the tablet.
