What is the validity period to answer a question in MakeUseOf Answers?

Whenever a question is posted in MakeUseOf Answers, for how much time is it open to answer it? For how much time the questioner can expect to receive answers for his question?

If he delays in responding to comments, does the question end there?

while we close comments on the main site after 90 days, questions on Answers are open indefinitely, meaning you can theoretically receive answers indefinitely.

What happens though, is that once a question is pushed off of the front page by new questions, it receives little attention and hence little replies, even when new information is posted. That's unless someone has previously commented and receives a notification of a new comment.

What I try to do is list all questions that still need an answer in the Toughest Questions post every Tuesday, which gives such questions a little extra exposure and another chance for receiving an answer, even if it's been a week since it was published. This does actually work!
