I use Dropbox on my Windows 8 laptop at home and on my iPhone 5c.
I have a particular file which I’m trying to access from my iPhone. I saved it on my laptop last night (3rd November); the version on my phone is dated 26 October.
Other files which I saved last night on my laptop are showing with yesterday’s date on my phone.
It’s an .xls file, approx 68kb.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
I've just uninstalled and reinstalled dropbox on my laptop, then made some changes to the file and saved. The latest version (with changes) is not being uploaded to the cloud.
Any ideas?
ha14 - I've been through the links you sent - there's nothing in the files that corresponds to anything mentioned there that might be causing this problem.
It's almost as though the automatic upload isn't working. Is there a setting I should be looking for somewhere??
Thanks for the suggestions and apologies for the late reply - I've been in hospital. Jan F, you were correct - the file isn't being uploaded from my laptop to the cloud.
I should have added: I've also tried removing and re-adding the Dropbox app on my iphone, so I definitely have the latest version.
Despite this, my iphone is still showing the old version of this particular file.
Why aren't certain files on one computer syncing to another?

How does syncing work?

Log in to at http://www.dropbox.com to see if the file was actually uploaded from your laptop to the cloud space. In some cases there might be a conflict between the files resulting in your xls being uploaded with "conflicted copy *date*" added to the name.
