How can I uninstall Office from Linux Mint 11?

Barelohim October 27, 2011

I am running Linux Mint 11 (Katya). This comes with Office and all its apps, which I never use. I have AbiWord.

Can I uninstall Office without affecting my OS operations?

    Hi Barelohim,

To clarify, you mean "Open Office", correct? If so, you may do so by using the Synaptic Package Manager (located at Menu -> Software Manager). Search for "office" or "open office" and click it, select "remove". Alternatively, you may find the software in the Menu -> Applications and right click on it, then chose "Uninstall".

libreoffice was the core, and synaptic package manager did the job.

      Thanks Jeff
